Mombassa: a yellow-flesh variety of middle-season harvest.

Variety breeder: PSB – Murcia, Spain

As a tree, Mombassa has semi-lateral behavior and vigorous behavior. It can adjust to medium and high chill areas. It blossoms in the late season and its flowering is abundant.

The fruit size is AA dominant (200gr) and its shape is round to oblong. Mombassa enters production rapidly and its yield is heavy every year.

The taste is very good, sweet and balanced. In the near future, all the important fruit markets will search for fruits that have a pleasant taste.

Fruit color is attractive outside, dark red on the largest part of the skin, without spots or defects. Internally, the color of the flesh is yellow-redish. It does not show a broken pit.
