Category : CHERRIES

Kordia cherry is a variety that is harvested in the middle of the season. It originates from the Czech Republic.

As a tree, it has a medium-strong growth and open behavior. As a variety is easy to form as single-axis or in a classical vase-shape tree. It also has a tendency to shoot lateral vegetation without the use of  Promaline or Perlan. Kordia is not self-fertile and blooms late. The requirements of this variety in cold hours are 900 to 1000 and it is recommended to plant it mainly in mountainous areas.

The fruit of Kordia is its strongest feature. It has a characteristic dark red to black skin color and bright red flesh color inside. The size of the fruit is large (28mm). Its taste is very good and sweet. Its firmness is also very good and very attractive for trade as it is stored for several days in cold storage facilities.

Kordia has very good resistance to cracking of the fruit due to rainfall. It is easy to harvest because of its long stem. It has a special place in the market for the qualities of its fruit.
