A few words about the Mediabel apricot variety
Mediabel apricot is a self-fertile variety that is harvested in the middle to early season.
It originates from the research program of the French company NEWCOT and is published in Europe by the French IPS.
As a tree, it has semi-erect to erect behavior and strong vigor.
It has abundant flowering and is self-fertile. It sets fruit in short and long branches and produces very high yield every year. The performance of Mediabel in our own commercial orchard is over thirty tons per hectare each year.
The size of the fruit is very good, regardless of the large production it has (2A / 3A). The shape of the fruit is oval and the firmness of the flesh is average. Skin color is also very good with a beautiful red-pink coating covering 50% of the fruit.
The flavor of theMediabel fruit is considered balanced and fragrant. It requires special handling during harvesting so that no signs of bumps are created. We saw very good results when we packed it directly into the field.
