A few words about the Domino apricot variety

Domino is a self-fertile, early-harvesting apricot variety.

It originates from PSB’s new variety breeding program in Murcia Spain.

As a tree, it has vigor growth and semi-lateral development. Its flowering is considered early, rich with an abundant number of good quality flowers.

Domino’s production is really high especially when it is planted in the “Spanish bush” system (2,5×5 metes planting distances and no more than 2,5-meter tree height). In that case, production might exceed 30 tones per hectare.

Fruit size is very good (AA->70%, AAA->30%) and its shape is round.

Flesh firmness is also very good and it has almost zero percentage of craked fruits.

Domino’s fruit coloration is orange with red on the more sunny spots.

The main advantages of this variety are its genetic predisposition to be resistant to Sharka virus and also it’s harvest period which is not covered by some other worthy variety.
