A few words about the Titan walnut variety
Titan is a lateral-bearing variety that is harvested early (September).
It originates from a random selection of seedlings. As a tree, it has semi-open behavior and not vigor growth. It blossoms in the middle of the flowering season (April) and the buds are growing in the middle season (early April). It is recommended to plant it in lowland and semi-mountainous areas.
It enters production quickly and its yield is continuous and very good. It is average resistant to anthracosis and bacteriosis. It is planted together with Chandler as a pollinator with excellent results. Its entrance to harvest occurs in 3 to 5 years and full entry is at 8th year.
Titan has a large fruit size (18-20gr) and oval shape.
The color of the nut is white-light colored and the presentation is very good and attractive. The nut to the kernel ratio is 52-53%. The separation of the nut from the kernel is easy and it is recommended to be marketed as a fresh market variety.
