It originates from a random selection of seedlings of the new varieties program of the American company Sun World International, USA.
As a tree, it has semi-erect behavior and strong vigor. It can thrive in many cold hours. It blooms late in the season and has abundant flowering.
The fruit is 60 / 70mm in size and is spherical in shape. Angeleno enters production in the 4th – 5th year and it is high every year as long as it is planted together with the appropriate pollinators. Its taste is good, sub-acid and balanced.
The skin of the fruit is externally dark purple-black. Inside the fruit the color is yellow. It has good firmness and is easy to handle by the producers. It can be maintained as long as 90 days in normal cold storage facilities with minimum fruit quality degradation.
